Prophet Elisée Yao, the founder of Divine Restoration Ministries, was born and bred in Ivory Coast. He was born into a Christian family and his father was a pastor who led a large congregation in Ivory Coast. From an early age, he was involved in ministry and had his encounter with Jesus in 1992. His passion for Christ developed from there and he got involved in deliverance ministry while he was still a student. He also got involved in the church leadership right after salvation.

Prophet Elisée Yao graduated from the School of Trade in Ivory Coast as an Accountant. It was a year after graduation, in 2001, that he was called into full time ministry. He then got involved in an Apostolic team which held many crusades in Ivory Coast. In September of the same year he got engaged to his wife Sarah and they got married in April of 2002. Together they have two sons, Ephraim and David. Soon after getting married they followed Gods call which led them to South Africa without knowing anyone. They attended Bible School at Christ for The Nations in Jeffery’s Bay.

After graduating from Bible School in 2004, the Lord led them to Pretoria where they were involved in a prophetic ministry. In that same year, they traveled to Bloemfontein where they soon afterward started the ministry.

We have a team that works with released prisoners in need of further assistance. The team’s involvement goes within helping the prisoners rebuild families, relocation and finding jobs for them. The team also helps assist them spiritually, inviting them to our church services.
